Gene discovered Green Bay sometime after French Explorer Jean Nicolet landed on its shores about 350 years ago.  The Frenchman thought he had found China; 'Gene thought he found the end of the earth. Both were correct (and both were, obviously, experiencing mental illusions creating a fog that veils the spiritual wanderer from seeing the world as it truly is).
